Boulder removal, rock splitting, quarrying, and concrete demolition can all run without explosives. Crackit is a powder that expands when mixed with water — fill your drilled holes, wait for cracks, then remove the pieces. The guides on this site cover planning, hole layout, mixing ratios, and what to expect at different temperatures.
Lower a thermometer to the bottom of a drilled hole and leave it for 2–3 minutes, then read it quickly on the way out. Don't measure immediately after drilling — friction heat will give you a false high reading. The temperature of the stone or concrete itself (not just the air) decides which mix adjustments you need, so this step comes first.
